These can be connected to the SmartInstrument-AU in vehicle hardware and serve as an additional source of sensor input. |
When Exceptions happen, such as when the vehicle's coolant temperature becomes too high or a fluid level slips too low, the SmartInstrument™-AU modem will send the information to the web based tracking and reporting application. An Alert will be generated and the information will be sent to a designated recipient, such as fleet manager / owner of the vehicle, helping to prevent costly damage to the vehicle. Additionally, the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) that trigger the "Check Engine" light can be communicated in near real time through the fleet management system. |
